Goals on the Task Object

Oftentimes you want to report on items that are logged on the Task object of your CRM. How many meetings did we book? How many Gong calls?
To measure this, you need to build a goal using the Task object.
Go to Definitions -> Goals and create a new goal. Pick "Object Based" from the dropdown, and then choose your CRM, and Task from the objects dropdown. Next, pick a date field. Usually, it will be "CreatedDate".
The next step is to determine what tasks you want to capture.
Usually, the first identifier for categories of actions is the Task Subject. For example, let’s say we want to measure Gong outgoing calls. In Salesforce, each of them has a subject starting with "[Gong out]". So we add: whose Subject contains - [Gong out] to our definition.
After being saved, the goal is available for reporting. For example, you can build a report showing how many Gong outgoing calls each SDR performed per quarter.
