# How can I use LinkedIn Impressions and Engagements in my reports?

This answer refers specifically to the special LinkedIn Account-based Impression and Engagement data that we pull from our LinkedIn Ads integration.&#x20;

Note that this datapoint is different than the overall number of impressions and engagements **by campaign**.

The **by campaign** datapoints reside under "Paid Ads metrics" in your report builder:

<figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FOraORC26CJ7mIia4jLzc%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.10.15%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=6fb0255e-4905-4f38-834e-e0b5c3e572c3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If I select Impressions from here, and I break the report down by Company Name, I will **not** see the number of impressions by company. Because this datapoint is a separate datapoint.

To see the number of impressions or engagements by company, first create a goal:

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FVBgWGKoHqAnRumm4u0ZJ%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.12.41%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=39725cb3-1065-494c-a624-99de78acdd6f" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

<div align="right" data-full-width="false"><figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FkcVztuP4z2lIwiOQAd0F%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.12.20%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=31967a04-dbe5-49aa-83f4-319be2895e21" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Then, you can use it in reports:

**Number of impressions and engagements by company**

<figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FoVXZWdZrJyhoxpLLa5YV%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.14.35%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=704b9778-ca62-4b9a-988d-ffb7553f3c3e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Number of impressed accounts**

<figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FEyeHE6lSM61BduSXJge8%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.15.12%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=c8179823-21de-4b6c-b841-e4df89d79d71" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Impression Influenced Opportunities**

This one is a different example. To measure influence, we need to use a defined property. LinkedIn Ads Engagements **should already exist** in the Channel property you have in your instance. If not, you can add it like this:

<figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FvYZLtbvDeoj81Cgv4G2q%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.18.12%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d737e57a-3cf3-4d12-81ff-0b535006d713" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Try not to create new defined properties as much as you can. Use and enrich existing ones instead.

You can use your defined property for attribution like this:

<figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FdB3T1aKOkDrwkDEgCJvV%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.19.28%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=986544ac-f6be-4129-8fb2-94ab83742514" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Note that there is a filter on Channel. Click on Channel > click Filter > and add it like below:&#x20;

<figure><img src="https://318687664-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FedLASfWbQxGa0eYkwALS%2Fuploads%2FT78n0LtqS5ZIFv3TqM14%2FScreenshot%202025-02-11%20at%2011.19.22%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=5c583e3f-9b00-4cc8-88f0-8b0b339936ee" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Using Uniform attribution with this filter ensures that the report shows us **the total number** of Opps created within **this month (the report date range)**, that had LinkedIn Ads touchpoints **any time** **before** the opportunity creation.
